Hello everyone!
I just highlighted the text for Chapters 17 through 22 of "The Dragon King Invites You to Tea" (currently publishing on Kindle Vella), and was shocked to see that the word count exceeded 9000 words.
I'm sure professional authors pump out content at a much higher rate, but this amount of productivity is a new high for me.
We're at a point in the story where things are really starting to gain momentum, so that could be the reason sentences and dialogue keep appearing in my head that need to be captured and fleshed out and inspire me to keep going. I want to see what happens next!
Meanwhile, the author event at the Flintridge Bookstore went well, I thought. Only 2 books sold, but then again, that's 2 more people reading my book.
My "manager" and I are now meeting regularly to do some marketing.
I recommend reducing your day job's work hours if you can. Writing has never been better.
